We are happy to report that our Pediatric program has started at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, Ghana.  KATH is the second largest hospital in Ghana with approximately 1000 beds.  Under the direction of Dr. Sampson Antwi, the program is dedicated to children with a planned expansion to adults in the future.  Since its start date in February 2012, we have treated over 30 patients, averaging 2-3 patients per month.
SKCF signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Korli - Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana’s largest city. Supplies were ordered to arrive via container from Germany in May of 2013, with plans to expand the program to the town of Cape Coast by next year.
